Ticket Terms & Conditions
Ticket Terms
1. General
These terms apply to all events organised by Janteloppet AS, in particular skiing and running events (the “Events”).
By registering — yourself or another person — you accept these terms in full. If you register another person, you are responsible for ensuring that they know and accept these terms.
2. Binding registration
Registration for an Event organised by Janteloppet AS is binding. The obligation to pay arises on registration, and you are added to the participant list.
Entry fees and other products paid for are not refunded if you are unable to take part, regardless of the reason, including illness or injury.
3. No right of withdrawal
Swiss law provides no statutory right of withdrawal for purchases made over the internet. The right of withdrawal under Art. 40a ff. of the Code of Obligations applies only to doorstep and comparable contracts — in particular contracts concluded at your workplace, in your home, on public transport or public land, or at a promotional event — and to telephone solicitation. Buying a ticket through this website does not fall within that scope.
Completing your order therefore makes your registration binding.
4. Cancellation cover
We recommend arranging your own travel and event insurance to cover costs if you are unable to take part.
5. Sale or transfer of bib numbers
Bib numbers are personal and non-transferable. For safety and insurance reasons, you may not let another person start using your bib number or in your name.
Anyone found to have transferred their bib number may be disqualified and excluded from future Events. Janteloppet AS accepts no liability for any person taking part under another participant's bib number.
6. Risk and liability
Taking part in Events organised by Janteloppet AS involves risks arising among other things from physical exertion, weather conditions, terrain, other participants and the natural environment.
By registering you acknowledge and voluntarily assume those risks, and agree that Janteloppet AS, its employees, volunteers, sponsors and partners are not liable for personal injury, death, loss or damage, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
You are responsible for being adequately prepared and equipped, including clothing, footwear, nutrition and hydration.
7. Health and fitness
By registering you confirm that you are physically able to take part; that you have no medical condition making participation dangerous to yourself or others; that you will not take part under the influence of alcohol or other substances affecting your safety; and that you will follow the instructions of the organisers, marshals and medical personnel.
Janteloppet AS reserves the right to exclude anyone who, in the reasonable opinion of the organisers or medical personnel, is unfit to take part.
8. Emergency medical care
By registering you authorise Janteloppet AS and the medical personnel it appoints to arrange necessary medical care in an emergency if you are unable to consent at the time. This includes first aid, evacuation and transport to a medical facility.
Any costs arising from such emergency care are borne by you.
9. Minimum age
Janteloppet Switzerland is 18+, for the race and for the parties alike. We may ask for official photo ID at the entrance.
10. Insurance
No accident or sports insurance is included in the ticket price. You are responsible for holding adequate insurance cover yourself.
Keep your confirmation and your ticket in case of injury and any subsequent insurance claim.
